CEDAR LAKE | It might be time for the fence around the Cedar Lake town grounds to come down, a councilman said.
Councilman John Foreman floated the idea of removing the chain-link fence that surrounds a good portion of the Town Complex.
“Our forefathers had the foresight to (preserve) the Town Complex,” said Foreman, but the fence isn’t doing much in terms of beautification.
The fence tends to be a depository for dead leaves. Foreman suggested removing the fence and placing a more attractive wrought-iron one around the children’s play area.
The council took no action on Foreman’s suggestion, but agreed to put it on the June 4 study session.
