CEDAR LAKE | Two men have been charged with molesting a Cedar Lake girl.
Michael A. Fulton, 42, of Cedar Lake, is charged with three counts of child molesting, criminal deviate conduct and confinement and neglect of a dependent.
If convicted, Fulton faces a maximum sentence of 50 years in prison.
His friend, Nicholas D. Fisher, 32, of, East Chicago, is charged with child molesting and faces a maximum term of eight years in prison.
The female victim told police she was molested by Fulton from age 7 to 13. The alleged molesting occurred between July 1, 2004, and July 10, 2010, in Cedar Lake and East Chicago.
The girl told police to avoid Fulton's advances, she slept with her younger sister or blocked her bedroom door.
