CEDAR LAKE | The Redevelopment Commission has entered into negotiations with a contractor to work on the east side of the 133rd Avenue project.
The commission is currently negotiating with American Construction Co., Town Manager Ian Nicolini said. The contract will, among other things, involve resurfacing and reconstruction along 133rd between Morse and Colfax.
The commission also has set up a joint study session with the Town Council on March 5. The session will involve engineering firm Christopher Burke, and will take a look at economic development beyond the town’s current project.
“We’ll be looking ahead to prioritize our needs,” Nicolini said. “We’ll be working on an economic plan focusing mostly on capital improvements.”
