Cedar Lake parks department schedules events for February

CEDAR LAKE | The town’s Parks and Recreation Department has lined up a slate of activities for children ages 5 to 12 this winter.

The Sweethearts Dance for fathers and daughters is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 9 at the clubhouse. The evening will include dancing, refreshments and crafts.

Cost is $5 per participant, and the registration deadline is Wednesday.

The Mother and Son Western Stomp will be Feb. 23 at the clubhouse. The event, from 6 to 8 p.m., will include country dancing, horse racing, roping cattle, crafts and refreshments.

Cost is also $5 per participant and the registration deadline is Feb. 20.
