CEDAR LAKE | The Plan Commission has approved the plat for a two-lot subdivision.
The commission on Wednesday approved both preliminary and final plat for the subdivision at 6819 W. 146th Place. Lawrence Ponziano of Innovative Homes has been developing the property.
Ponziano and his siblings own 15 acres in that area. Their entire parcel contains an old growth forest and a portion of 147th Place that was vacated and turned into a private road last year at the Ponzianos’ request.
During the same meeting, commissioners deferred action on site plan approval for a proposed automotive business in the town’s prime commercial areas, Wicker Avenue. John and Darlene Boersma, of Beecher, have petitioned for approval of the site plan for 12828 Wicker Ave.
The Boersmas could not attend Wednesday’s meeting, so action on their site plan was deferred.
