CEDAR LAKE | Town residents should be able to pay their utility bills online by springtime.
The town’s software provider needs to provide one more component for online billing to happen, Clerk-Treasurer Amy Gross said Tuesday at the Cedar Lake Town Council meeting.
Everything should be in place by the end of March, she said. Residents will be able to view their utility bills and pay by credit or debit card or by electronic check.
“A lot of people have been asking for it,” Gross said. “They want paperless billing and to be able to pay their bills online.”
