CEDAR LAKE | The town and its Police and Fire departments will participate in Tuesday’s National Night Out Against Crime.

Cedar Lake Police Chief Gerald Smith said the town will display town vehicles at 7 p.m., including those from the police, fire and street departments.

There will be free hot dogs and chips.

*Cedar Lake Parks Director Mary Joan Dickson said the Cedar Lake Parks Department will offer kayaking on the lake, table games, crafts and cup stacking behind the park building at 7408 Constitution Ave. There will be a movie in the park starting at 8, Dickson said.
