CEDAR LAKE  | The Hanover Community School Corp. board recently approved establishing a bank account where donations can be accepted for the high school’s football program.

The board established the account at all local Centier branches after a lengthy presentation at its September meeting by athletic director Kevin Bachinski on Hanover Central High’s Field of Dreams fundraiser.

Art Hill Dodge’s parent company and Big Mouth Advertising of Hobart have teamed for a two-pronged purpose: to give the high school’s football program a higher profile and to let the public know of ways to donate to it.

The resulting awareness campaign and fundraiser, Field of Dreams, will go on through the team’s home season. Raising awareness of Hanover High football will be accomplished mostly through social media, YouTube and other vehicles.

Donations for Hanover will be accepted at Giveitforward.org, and at any local Centier Bank branch, Bachinski said.
