CEDAR LAKE | A cancer benefit for Diana Swift, of Cedar Lake, will be held Friday at Great Oaks Banquet Hall.
The event, which costs $20, includes a full buffet and disc jockey.
There will be a raffle, silent auction and auctioneer. It begins at 6 p.m. at the hall, 13109 Wicker Ave. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling Samantha Swift at (219) 808-5873 or at the door.
Swift, 30, was recently diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer in her dominant left hand. Samantha Swift said her sister-in-law had her hand amputated in September and faces chemotherapy treatments.
