CEDAR LAKE | The Hanover Community School Corp. board has given the go-ahead to create extra storage under the new Hanover Central High football field bleachers.
The board approved the purchase of steel material, at $35,000, to enclose the bleachers. The other choice would have been to install a fence at the site, costing $15,000.
The area under the bleachers will serve as a place to store athletic equipment and also prevent students or visitors from gaining access to the space, Superintendent Thomas Taylor said.
The bleachers were installed this year. The project also included a press box and parking.
