CEDAR LAKE | The Hanover Community School Corp. will advertise for bids for new bleachers at Hanover Central High School.
The School Board at its Tuesday meeting gave acting Superintendent Richard Cook the go-ahead. Specs for the bleachers are almost ready, he said.
During a special study session last month the board discussed installing bleachers that can seat more than 1,200 at the high school. Designs already put forward include a press box and wheelchair-accessible seating.
Cook said officials are also looking at putting backs on a limited number of seats.
