CEDAR LAKE | Hanover trustee Dennis Wilkening will look into whether the district needs to obtain a police patrol car for its school resource officer.
Wilkening had brought up the idea during a previous School Board of Trustees meeting. During the June meeting, Interim School Superintendent James Thorne said doing so will be a matter of finances. At the moment, Hanover does not have enough extra cash in its transportation fund.
Wilkening, who is the board’s liaison to the Cedar Lake Town Council and Redevelopment Commission, said he would put out some feelers regarding a car for the school resource officer.
