Hanover schools will ponder students' use of social media

CEDAR LAKE | A new school policy will curtail Hanover students’ use of social media, at least on school time.

A policy involving social media was given an informational reading during the Hanover Community School Corp. board meeting. The policy likely will be up for approval next month.

The policy states that students may not access social media via the school’s network if the access is meant for personal use. They may, however, use social media if the use is in accordance with a teacher’s lesson plan.
