Landske swears in Republican sweep of Cedar Lake council

CEDAR LAKE | State Sen. Sue Landske, R-Cedar Lake, administered the oath of office to all Cedar Lake Republicans who won election last month.

The Dec. 19 ceremonies marked the first time the town has had an all Republican council in decades.

The new officials include Clerk-Treasurer Amy Sund and Councilmen John Foreman, Ralph Miller, Pat Cassasa and Greg Parker. They will join Republican Councilmen Robert Carnahan, Randy Niemeyer and Dale Poston, as well as Hanover Township Trustee Mitchell Lopez.
