LOWELL | Parents, Grandparents and other adults are invited to a Block Party with the young children in their lives. On Friday, Jan. 3, at 11:00 a.m., the Lake County Purdue Cooperative Extension Service will be hosting a Block Party for children aged 8 months to 8 years at the First United Methodist Church in Lowell, Indiana, located at 520 E Commercial Ave.

Registration is free but required. The first 35 families to register and show up for the Block Party will receive a free set of Melissa and Doug building blocks to take home. To register, please call the Purdue Extension Office at: 755-3240, by Dec. 30.

Playing with blocks is more than just fun. You are invited to learn more about the developmental processes learned while playing with blocks. At the same time, you can enjoy a fun time playing with your own child.
