CEDAR LAKE | Greg Wornhoff has been selected to fill the 3rd Ward Town Council seat recently held by Dale Poston.
Poston, elected to the council in 2010, resigned his seat last month.
Wornhnoff was selected Tuesday in a 5-1 vote by Cedar Lake Republicans to fill the spot.
Wornhoff, a former member of the Cedar Lake Storm Management Board, is active in the Cedar Lake Republican organization. He first served on the Town Council from 2006 to 2009.
"He’ll bring the ability (regarding stormwater issues) to the council,” 1st Ward Councilman Robert Carnahan said. “I think he’s going to bring (knowledge) that none of the other council members have.”
