CROWN POINT | Storyteller-author Michael Sterns visited Timothy Ball Elementary School on Tuesday morning.

Sterns, originally from Detroit but now residing in Florida, is a children’s author who has visited more than 900 elementary schools nationally and has more than 60,000 copies of his books in circulation.

The students enjoyed his engaging and lively presentation as he shared his struggles and success as an author.

After reading his book, "Kokopelli and the Butterfly," with sound effects, student interaction, and Native American flute playing, Sterns spoke to students about following their dreams, being environmentally responsible, and never giving up.
