4 adults, 2 juveniles arrested for pot possession, police say
LOWELL | Four adults and two juveniles were arrested at a Lowell apartment complex Saturday after a visitor called police to report a strong smell of marijuana in the hallway.
Daniel Rush, 18, Christopher Espinoza, 18, and Seth Marshall, 19, all residents of the apartment, were each charged with felony possession of marijuana, felony maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.
If convicted, each faces a maximum term of seven years in prison.
Brianna Sharp, 19, of Cedar Lake, and two Crown Point juveniles, both 15, were charged with visiting a common nuisance, a misdemeanor, with a maximum penalty of six months in prison.
Police were called to 615 Creekside after a complaint from a visitor who smelled marijuana emanating from the apartment. After occupants refused to open the door, police obtained a search warrant and found drugs in plain view, police said.
