CROWN POINT | Hometown Happenings will be hosting the Beast Boot Camp 5K Race on Saturday, May 11 at 9:00 a.m. at the Lake County Fairgrounds.

Designed and staffed by U.S. Marines, the course features 12 stations with boot camp exercises. You must complete all the stations to be eligible for a top finisher award.

While the course is difficult, athletes of all skill levels are invited to come participate. Skipping or not completing a station will only prevent you from winning an award.

Advance registration is $20. Shirts are available to purchase through May 2 for $7. Event day registration is $30. Part of the proceeds will benefit the “Pets N Vets” program that provides therapy dogs to veterans in Northwest Indiana who suffer from post traumatic stress disorder.
