CROWN POINT | The Crown Point Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees presented Commendation Awards to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary Science Olympiad Team at the Feb. 25 school board meeting for winning first place in the Annual Crown Point Elementary Science Olympiad Competition.
In addition to their blue ribbons and first place plaque, they reclaimed the traveling trophy.
This was the 25th anniversary of Science Olympiad, and a new trophy was created to commemorate teacher Cliff Sumner for his role in originating the competition for Crown Point Schools.
