CROWN POINT | The Northwest ISBDC and Partners in Contracting Corp. are offering an Indiana Certification Boot Camp for women and minority business owners.
An overview of the camp will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday April 2 at the Purdue Technology Center of NWI, 9800 Connecticut Drive. The event will outline the eligibility requirements for Women Business Enterprise and Minority Business Enterprise certifications and discuss other business certifications. This session will help participants find out if their companies are eligible for these certifications.

Participants who decide to move forward with the boot camp after the introductory meeting can pay the $100 fee on or before Wednesday April 9. The boot camp consists of three sessions from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays April 16 and 30 and May 14 at the Purdue Technology Center of NWI.
Judy Perkinson of the Calumet Group will lead the sessions that will break down the certification process with step-by-step instructions that are customized to individual companies. The boot camp will focus on an organized approach to complete the application and documentation process required for certifications.
Serving seven counties in the region, the NW-ISBDC offers no-cost assistance for entrepreneurs starting or expanding their businesses. Through one-on-one consulting, the NWI SBDC helps guide small businesses toward their goals by offering referrals, workshops, training opportunities and other essential business tools. It is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration, the State of Indiana and other local partners.
