CROWN POINT | Three Crown Point residences have been burglarized during the past two weeks, including two during daylight hours, police said.
On Wednesday, a home in the 300 block of Rose Ellen Drive was broken into through a side door between 5:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., police said. Jewelry of an undetermined value was taken.
On May 21, a residence in the 1100 block of West South Street was burglarized, police said. Jewelry was taken. The homeowner discovered the burglary at 4 p.m.
A third burglary was reported Monday in the 900 block of East Joliet Street. The owners reported someone entered the house between 6 p.m. and 11 a.m. and took $300 cash. Police said there was no visible entry point, and the house was still locked when the owners arrived home.
