C.P. board approves $6,000 purchase of firewall devices

CROWN POINT | The Board of Public Works and Safety recently approved purchasing municipal firewall appliances for the Crown Point Information Technology department.

CISCO-based devices with subscription licensing for threats were approved. The main appliance is to be placed in the Police Department.

The amount of the purchase is not to exceed $6,000, including configuration and licensing.

Also approved were external locations to be purchased by respective city departments at a price not to exceed $700 per appliance.
