CROWN POINT | Eleven teens face alcohol-related charges after police said they broke up a party late Saturday in the 300 block of South East Street.
The teens, ages 15 to 17, were taken to the Crown Point Police Department and then released to their parents, Assistant Police Chief James Janda said. All 11 were charged with alcohol possession by a minor, Janda said.
Police were called to the scene just before midnight for a noise complaint, Janda said.
Partygoers initially were outside the home but fled inside and shut the door to officers, Janda said. A judge issued a search warrant to enter the home, Janda said.
No parents were at the home at the time, Janda said.
