Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce presented several awards at its annual meeting Dec. 14.
The best Renovated Building Design and Architecture award was presented to the Northwest Indiana Breast Care Center at Methodists Hospitals, Southlake Campus, Merrillville.
The New Building and Design and Community Enhancement honor was awarded to the Crown Point Community Library.
The Site Design award went to D&L Wood Products Inc.
Recognition was also given to Boy Scout Troop 45 for community enhancement projects they completed, Chick-fil-A for its new building design at Westfield Southlake Mall in Hobart, and the McDonald’s Restaurant on U.S. 30, Merrillville, for its landscaping enhancement.
Also, the Ambassador of the Year award was presented to Rick Gosser of Gosser Corporate Sales.
Author will introduce novel
The Crown Point Community Library, 122 N. Main St., hopes you will join them at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 4 in the Tri Kappa meeting room as author Gloria McMillian introduces her new murder mystery, “The Blue Maroon Murder.”
The book is billed as an interesting, entertaining and intriguing new mystery novel inspired by the classic landscapes and her memories of University of Chicago in the Hyde Park neighborhood of the Windy City.
The author will be available for questions, and copies of the book may be purchased.
