CROWN POINT | The Board of Communication Services at Trinity Lutheran Church and School, 250 S. Indiana Ave., will host its second annual Communication and Public Relations Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The seminar is free and open to representatives of nonprofit organizations, area churches and their various ministries.
Participating this year are two Times Media Company journalists.
Damien Rico, director of The Times Community Websites, and Diane Poulton, a correspondent for The Times, will speak on using social media and the Times community websites to promote organizations and events and the art of writing press releases.
Also participating are: Edda Taylor of Edda Taylor Photographie, who will discuss photography usage; Dr. Kari-Anne Innes of Valparaiso University, who will speak on Special Event Marketing; Kristen Kearney, webmaster at Immanuel Lutheran Church, and Bob Michalak, webmaster at Trinity Lutheran Church and School, who will discuss website design and administration; and Dan Matalin of Dan Matalin Signs, who will talk about signage and sign marketing.
