The Admissions Department at the University of St. Francis Crown Point, 12800 Mississippi Parkway, will host a question-and-answer session from 5:30 to 7 p.m. March 20 for candidates seeking information about the admission process and program requirements.
An admissions counselor will explain entry requirements for the University of St. Francis, the USF School of Health Sciences and the recently introduced Associate of Science – Medical Lab Technician Program. Candidates for admission may bring high school and college transcripts for a free evaluation.

The Art of Gardening
Join the friends of the Crown Point Library on a bus trip to the 2013 Chicago Flower and Garden Show on March 13.
Tickets are $35 and include transportation and admission to the show. Seating is limited.
The bus will depart and return from the Crown Point Sportsplex, 1313 E. North St., Crown Point. Boarding will begin at 8:45 a.m. and the bus will depart promptly at 9 and depart the show promptly at 3 p.m. for the return trip.

Tri Kappa Easter Eggs
Crown Point Gamma Theta chapter of Tri Kappa has once again made its chocolate-filled Easter eggs. The sale of these treats is the chapter's largest fundraiser, raising more than $9,000 annually for the chapter's Crown Point area high school scholarship program.
The decorated eggs are available for purchase in many retail locations in Crown Point.

Softball league registration
The Hidden Lake Park Adult Softball League is taking registrations for the upcoming season. The Men’s League will play on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights. The Co-ed League will play Wednesday nights. Upper and lower divisions are included.
