CROWN POINT | Susan Corbett has joined the nursing faculty at University of Saint Francis Crown Point.
The Valparaiso native earned an Associate of Science in Nursing at Purdue University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Purdue Calumet in Hammond and a Master of Science in Nursing Education at Indiana Wesleyan. A second-generation nurse, she brings seven years of nursing education to her USF Crown Point position.
“My goal has always been to teach in a faith-based registered nurse program. I have found my home here at the University of Saint Francis,” Corbett said.
“Susan Corbett is a welcome addition to the USF Crown Point nursing faculty,” said nursing program director Margaret Stoffregen-DeYoung. “Her extensive nursing experience and enthusiasm for nursing education are evident from the moment you meet her. She genuinely likes students and she has a contagious love of nursing.”
Corbett lives in Valparaiso with her husband of 42 years. She has two grown and married sons and one grandson, Jackson, 5.
