CPHS Inklings newspaper staff receive 2012 National Pacemaker Award

CROWN POINT | The Crown Point Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees presented Commendation Awards to the Crown Point High School Inklings newspaper staff at the Jan. 28 School Board meeting for the numerous state and national awards they received.

This is the third consecutive year that Inklings has won the National Pacemaker Award from the National Scholastic Press Association at the national convention. In addition, they received the Indiana High School Press Association’s highest award, The Hoosier Star, at the state convention.

Inklings adviser Julie Elston was also recognized for receiving the 2012 Sengenberger Award as journalism adviser of the year for the state from the Indiana High School Press Association.
