CROWN POINT | Crown Point senior tennis and baseball player Chris Dietrich is one of 12 Indiana high school seniors to win the IHSAA C. Eugene Cato Scholarship. In order to qualify for the one-time $2,500 scholarship, Dietrich had to be a varsity letter winner, outstanding in the classroom, act as a role model for his peers and not have received a full athletic scholarship to the school of his choice.
Dietrich has been a three year letter winner in tennis and a two year letter winner in baseball for the Bulldogs. He is also active in the Athletic Council, National Honor Society, and Academic Super Bowl. Dietrich also carries a 4.574 GPA and ranks second in a class of 549.
