CROWN POINT | The Crown Point High School Band, Choir and Orchestra earn the prestigious Top Ten in the state, 2012-13 All-Music Award, from the Indiana State School Music Association.

Crown Point is one of only nine high schools in Indiana to receive a Total Department award.

Crown Point High School's outstanding music program compliments the exceptional academic programs. In addition, the high achievement in college and career readiness places the school among the nation’s best high schools.

This is one important reason that Crown Point Community School Corporation is the fastest growing school corporation and community in Northwest Indiana. In the new estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, all three of the school corporation’s communities -- Crown Point, Winfield and Cedar Lake -- experienced growth since the 2010 census. Winfield was the fastest growing community in the region with an increase of 11.4 percent. Crown Point grew 3.1 percent and Cedar Lake grew 0.9 percent.
