A Crown Point man died Saturday morning after a two-vehicle crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway.
Phillip Briner, 21, of the 1800 block of West 97th Place, was pronounced dead at 2:05 a.m. at Christ Advocate Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He died of multiple injuries when his southbound vehicle was struck by another truck.
According to press reports, a drunken driver crossed from the far right side of the road to far-left lane, striking Briner's pickup truck.
