ORLAND PARK | Orland Park police are seeking information on the whereabouts of a Crown Point man suspected in a home invasion and shooting early Friday.
Anthony M. "A-Train" Espinoza, 27, of 10440 Nelson St., Crown Point, should be "considered armed and dangerous," according to a news release from the Orland Park Police Department. Espinoza is 6 feet tall, weighs about 250 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
Police received a call at 2:50 a.m. Friday about a shooting in the 10900 block of Antelope Lane. When police arrived, they found a 30-year-old man had been shot. The victim was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox with non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary information indicated that two suspects forced their way into the home, shot the victim and stole items, police said.
The two who entered the home were described as men with dark complexions, both wearing dark clothing, about 30 years old and armed with handguns. The driver of the suspects' vehicle was described as a Hispanic man about 30 years old. The three suspects fled south from the home and then east onto Interstate 80.
Orland Park police have recovered what they believe to be the suspect vehicle in Gary.
Police believe Espinoza participated in the crimes at the home and have issued an arrest warrant for him, police said.
Police ask that anyone with information about Espinoza or the crimes call the department at (708) 349-4111.
