LAKE COUNTY | A DeMotte woman's vehicle went airborne and landed against a tree after she lost control of her vehicle on Interstate 65 Tuesday morning south of Crown Point.
Indiana State Police said the accident was not weather-related.
At 7:58 a.m., the 44-year-old woman was traveling north on I-65 2 miles south of the Crown Point exit when she lost control of her 2008 Mazda for unknown reasons.
The woman drove off the road, hit a ditch, her vehicle went airborne and landed against a tree. The woman was wearing her seatbelt and suffered non life-threatening injuries.
She was transported to Franciscan St. Anthony Health hospital in Crown Point for treatment.
