CROWN POINT | A string concert will be performed by local students from the Crown Point Orchestra at 6 p.m. Thursday in Meeting Room 2 at the Crown Point Community Library, 122 N. Main St.

Admission is free.

Student musicians include: Dan and Madison DeGoey, recent Crown Point High School graduates, and Amanda Pavot, Jordan Krause, Brandon Ritter, Blake Henson, Jessica Norlock, Leah Huffine, Savannah Schuljak, Alex Kuda, Mia Gurgievich, Suzanne Reed, Julie Stuckert, Dylan Taylor and Serena Spanglers.

The young musicians are directed by Rovelli Grib, of Crown Point, director of orchestras at Wirt/Emerson Visual Performing Arts High Ability Academy in Gary.
