CROWN POINT | Two parcels of donated land were approved for acceptance into the city's inventory by the Crown Point Board of Public Works and Safety.

The vacant lots, on Cedar Street, failed to sell at recent Lake County tax sales, and county officials agreed to donate them to the city, officials said.

The donated land, totaling nearly one acre, is at the northwest corner of the Liberty Park neighborhood.

Approval to add the lots to the city inventory was made contingent on the completion of proper documentation.
