The Douglas MacArthur Mustangs Robotics team was among 32 teams that competed at the first Lego League Indiana qualifying tournament at Indiana University Northwest, November 16. The Mustangs won first place in Innovative Design.
The annual tournament at IUN is one of the largest in the state and challenges students in third through sixth grade to build robots using Lego blocks. This year’s theme was “Senior Solutions.” Teams were given the task of creating robots that would address the concerns of senior citizens and the problems they face daily. Teams were judged on teamwork, design, programming and how well the robots performed their tasks.
