CROWN POINT | The Crown Point Community School’s annual Science Olympiad contest took place Feb. 2.
All Crown Point elementary schools competed in exciting events such as Egg Drop, Paper Rockets, Zowie Metrics, Straw Structures, Circuit Wizardry, and Aerodynamics.
This competition marks the 25th anniversary of this academic event, and the teacher who originally founded it at MacArthur Elementary was recognized. A new traveling trophy named in teacher Cliff Sumner’s honor, was presented to the team taking first place –- Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary School. The team was coached by teacher Jori Dusseau.
