CROWN POINT | The Franciscan St. Anthony Health Crown Point Emergency Medical Services Academy will accept applications until 4 p.m. Monday for its next emergency medical technician training program, which will begin in July. Applications for the six-month course are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the EMS Academy, on the second floor of the hospital’s Medical Arts Center, 1201 S. Main St., Suite 201, and online at http://www.franciscanalliance.org/hospitals/crownpoint/health-professionals/ems-academy/Pages/default.aspx. Applicants must be 18 or older to qualify. Classes will be offered from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday and Thursday evenings. EMT program graduates will be eligible to take the state written and practical exam for certification in Indiana. Course fee is $850, with payment plans available. The Don Hess Memorial Scholarship is available for students in financial need. For more information, call (219) 757-6334.
