Focus on football
CROWN POINT | Staff and clients at The Arc Northwest Indiana South Center came dressed as a football player, cheerleader or wearing their favorite football team's apparel last Friday for the center's Super Bowl Party.
Many Super Bowl activities were planned, past Super Bowl games were available for viewing and some staff and clients enjoyed playing football. In addition to the activities, a special lunch menu included a McRib sandwich, nacho chips and cheese, a football cookie and soda.
The mural in the cafeteria was a "team" effort. Clients Barbara Rausch and Alison Umfleet were very involved in the artwork, assisted by staff members Rhianna Rugis and Carol Mullins.
All clients were involved in the painting and "glittering" of the footballs and goal posts. The Super Bowl trophy and logos were designed by the staff. The football field background for the mural was made from a green tarp.
