CROWN POINT | The Celtics Cowens Camps, presented by Reebok, drew a crowd of young basketball players, including DeVonte Brooks of Crown Point, excited to practice and learn from former Celtics point guard Dana Barros. Barros brought his skills and acumen to the camp as a guest lecturer and instructor to a group of young, dedicated players, many of which look up to him as an idol.
The camp has a two week run at the Celtics training facility in Waltham Mass., running from July 15-26. Guest lecturers from the Celtics organization continue to attend throughout the weeks. Camps will also be held throughout the summer at The University Sports Complex in Hanover, Mass., and The RIM Sports Complex in Hampton, N.H.

About The Celtics Cowens Camps
Dave Cowens, Celtics Legend and Basketball Hall of Fame member, has teamed up with the Boston Celtics again to offer the Celtics Cowens camps, hosted by Reebok. The camps offer summer basketball instruction for the kids of New England. “The Celtics Cowens Camps presented by Reebok is a way for young boys and girls to come together to expand their skills both on and off the court,” Celtics Senior Vice President Ted Dalton said. “These children will learn essential skills to enhance their basketball techniques as well as life skills such as teamwork, leadership and responsibility. Our management team, including Dave Cowens and Joe Amorosino, have more than 50 years of camp and coaching experience, and they hire the best staff in New England. Children learn how to play basketball the ‘Celtics Way’ and have a great time.”
