CROWN POINT | Sixteen nuns from the order of Sisters of St. Agnes received a warm welcome back home on a recent visit to St. Mary Church from their mother house in Fond du Lac, Wis.
The Sisters of St. Agnes staffed St. Mary Catholic Community School for more than a century as teachers. Many of the nuns who visited had taught at St. Mary’s.
Former students, parents and teachers were pleased get reacquainted with the sisters, especially Sr. Collean Walsh, a well-loved principal at St. Mary’s for 15 years.
One attendee made it a point to let Sr. Collean know that his frequent (almost daily) visits to her office paid off, as he is now a successful businessman. He told her that he is very grateful for her guidance along the way.
