CROWN POINT | Join The BLu Bird Foundation at a golf tournament on Sept. 7 to help raise funds to increase brain aneurysm awareness and fund research to reduce the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures. The tournament will take place at White Hawk Country Club, 1001 White Hawk Drive.
The outing begins at 11 a.m. with lunch and registration, followed by golf, a dinner and music for dancing.
Cost is $120 per golfer, $50 per dinner guest. Register online at http://www.blubirdfoundation.org/events.html or on-site.
Jennifer Fedak, president of the Blu Bird Foundation, has a passion for event planning and personal encounters with brain-related illness which led her and the Blu Bird Foundation Board to establish the Golf Outing for Brain Aneurysm Awareness.
Fedak’s youngest sister passed away from a brain stem tumor when she was young, and when Fedak fought her own battle with a brain aneurysm, she gained a profound understanding of the magnitude of the illness she was fighting.
The first golf tournament last year raised $13,000 towards brain aneurysm research and care.
All of the proceeds raised from the event will help to provide critical awareness, education, support and research funding to reduce the incidence of brain aneurysms.
