CROWN POINT | Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana’s third annual 5K Walk/Run will be held Saturday at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 889 S. Court St., rain or shine.
Check-in and day of registration tables open at 7:30 a.m., the race begins at 9 and awards will be announced at 10:30.
“We are thrilled to host our 5K Walk/Run for a third year,” Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana Board of Directors Vice President and Race Director Nichole DeMario said. “You can’t help but feel good knowing that the money you pay to participate in our race will go towards Habitat’s mission of building future homes throughout Lake County.”
There will be separate starting lines for running, walking and family participants and computerized chip timing by T&H Timing. Snacks and beverages will be served.
Awards will be given for female and male running participants in first, second and third place at all age levels, along with best overall female and male.
Entry fee is $25 per participant with a T-shirt, or $20 without shirt. Ages 12 and younger pay $10 with a T-shirt, or $5 with no shirt.
