CROWN POINT | The office of Center Township Trustee Paul Bremer distributed holiday meals to qualifying township residents.

The meals consisting of ham, sweet potatoes and other side dishes were delivered Dec. 30 to 30 Center Township residents, Bremer said.

A total of 57 holiday meals were supplied through monetary donations by customers and employees of Jewel-Osco, 1276 N. Main St., Crown Point, and by donations to the township food pantry, Bremer said.

Trustees in Hanover and Winfield townships distributed the remainder of the meals to residents of the those townships, Bremer said. Hanover Township residents received 10 meals, and Winfield Township residents received 17 meals.
