Tickets are on sale for the Visit with the Easter Bunny event sponsored by Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce on March 24 in Maki Ballroom at the Old Court House on the downtown square in Crown Point.

Parents can bring a camera and have their children pose with the bunny. There will be games, face painting and an Easter Egg Hunt that will take place on the lawn. Breakfast will also be provided with donations from Chick-fil-A, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Becks Crown Bakery, Twelve Islands, and Cherry Tree Café and Restaurant, to name a few.

Tickets are available for specific seating times: 8 to 8:45 a.m., 9 to 9:45, 10 to 10:45 and 11 to 11:45. Purchase tickets at both Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce offices, 255 W. 80th Place in Merrillville and Old Courthouse, Room 206 in Crown Point; Horizon Bank at 8590 Broadway, Merrillville; or First Midwest Bank locations at 1100 N. Family Fun Day

Join Westfield Southlake Mall for a Family Fun Day from 4 to 5:30 p.m. March 23 in the JC Penney Court. Participants will explore the theme of Art & Culture with books and crafts that focus on artists and encourage children to bring their imagination to life. Children will enjoy stories, snacks, crafts and more. Admission is free.

Business After Hours

Crown Rentals, 620 N. Indiana Ave., Crown Point, invites chamber members to a Business After Hours  from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Attendees can learn about its services and tour the facility. RSVP by visiting

St. Baldrick's Day Event

During the annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner that takes place Saturday at the Crown Point Fire and Rescue Department, 126 N. East St., Crown Point, a small bay will serve as the registered St. Baldrick's Day venue. Each participant tries to raise the highest amount of funds for lifesaving cancer research and shaves his or her head as a display of solidarity with children who have cancer.

Proceeds will go to St. Baldrick's Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancer and give survivors healthy lives.

Cope Cup Cruise

Crossroads Regional and Lowell chambers of commerce will host the Cope Cup Cruise at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 889 S. Court St., Crown Point. on May 26. Pre-1985 era cars, trucks, motorcycles and all years of Corvettes can take part beginning at 1 p.m. Call (219) 663-1800 to participate in this event honoring the 103rd anniversary of the Cobe Cup Race.
