Freezing rain left ice on major roads and side streets Sunday afternoon.

Police reported a car spun out in the southbound lane of Cline Avenue at the Griffith and Highland border. There was another report of a car veering off Marquette Road in Lake Station.

Burnham and Calumet City road crews were spreading salt on icy patches of city streets. Indiana and Illinois State Police reported interstate pavements were mostly wet and accident free but some overhead ramps were icing up.
