CROWN POINT | A project to improve a portion of Jackson Street in Crown Point has been awarded to Griffith-based Walsh and Kelly, pending review by city and Lake County officials.
*Plans are to fix curbs and drains and repair asphalt on Jackson Street between North and Goldsborogh streets.
Walsh and Kelly's $138,730 bid was the lowest of three submitted for the work.
The project is to be paid with a combination of $115,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds and local dollars, city officials said.
The bid award was approved by the Crown Point Board of Public Works and Safety.
