CROWN POINT | Thank you to the Iron Pack Brotherhood and Hub City Girl Scout Troops #363, 355 and 308 for helping to fill more than 600 shoe boxes full of gifts of hope and love for Operation Christmas Child yesterday at the Crown Point Civic Center. More than 50 guests were in attendance volunteering their time and service to see that underprivileged kids in 3rd world countries will have something to open this holiday season.

The National Collection Week for O.C.C. kicks off November 18th-25th and is in it's 20th year, filling and distributing over 1 million shoeboxes worldwide. If you would like to fill a box with your family, go to www.samaritanspurse.org and type in your zip code to find the closest drop off relay location for shoeboxes and for a list of suggested fillers.
