CROWN POINT | Lake Street ran a successful Spread the Love peanut butter food drive collecting 652 jars.
“The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana created Spread the Love to give school children the opportunity to become hunger relief advocates in their community,” said Carey Govert, Lake Street Elementary librarian.
Fifty of these jars were donated to Lake Street’s Heart-to-Hand food bank as well. The class that collected the most jars was Mrs. Mitchell’s kindergarten class and they will now be rewarded with a Pizza Party.
Lake Street is proud of our thoughtful, caring, dazzling dolphin students.
